This Saturday I went with a friend of my dads (Greg is his name) that lives by me and that also races to. We went Oakland Valley Speedway in New York to race Flat Track. I had to go with Greg because my dad had to go to the hospital to see his uncle. This is clay track that is a little smaller then a 1/4 mile. I ran 2 classes on my 450, Open Expert and Sportsman. I usually always struggle with traction at this track because it always gets slick. I started of Practice struggling  with traction and just spinning the back tire all the way around, sliding my butt back on the seat on the strait away trying to get more traction. After practice it started to rain a little bit. When it stopped raining  they ran in the track. When I went out for my 1st heat (open Expert) the track was pretty tacky. Which was good for me because I would be able to get some traction. there was only 4 people in this class. I got a good start and was 2nd going into the 1st turn. With Andy (The Greek) # 3 was leading. It started to rain. He was struggling through the turn because it started to rain again. I was reeling him in every turn. But when the checked flag came out I didn't get him in time. Once they got the track dried up again a couple more classes went out then I was up again for my other class, Sportsman. There were 8 people in this race and there were 2 heats. I was in the first heat. I got the hole shot and lead the whole race. The bike was working great. Andy was in the next heat and he won it. A couple heats after my heat it started to rain again but his time it started to rain hard. They called it..and to determine what place we got they were going to count our heats ....I was just hoping in Sportsman that I had a faster heat than Andy. It came out that Andy had a faster heat. So I ended up getting two second places. Everything went good and I had a lot of fun.
